At EuroShop 2020, global reverse vending leader TOMRA will showcase its new range of beverage container recycling solutions for the retail sector, as well as its latest digital products and service developments.
The company will unveil its new TOMRA R1 reverse vending solution, which enables consumers to pour more than 100 empty beverage containers into a machine in one go, offering a more convenient and more user-friendly recycling experience and helping to transform the way people recycle.
TOMRA R1 offers a more user-friendly and convenient recycling experience, which can attract visitors and increase the volume of containers returned, leading to increased loyalty and revenues for retailers.
“TOMRA R1 enables stores and redemption centres to offer the best recycling experience and truly wow their customers,” said Harald Henriksen, head of TOMRA Collection Solutions.
“The multi-feed concept fundamentally transforms the recycling experience. During our tests we have seen recyclers come with trailers full of containers, drive past other stores in order to use TOMRA R1, and tag family and friends on social media encouraging them to try it out.”
TOMRA R1 is currently available in Norway and Sweden, and will be rolled out in Germany and other markets in the months ahead.
Another concept on show will be the new, small-footprint TOMRA M1 reverse vending machine (RVM), specifically designed for smaller stores.
TOMRA Talks
In addition, TOMRA will host a 'TOMRA Talks' presentation series, aimed at highlighting the opportunities of recycling for retailers.
The company will offer European retailers insight into the reverse vending recycling process, at a time when several European markets are set to introduce container deposit schemes. These schemes often require the involvement of retailers in receiving drive containers for recycling.
Retailers can ensure they are 'ahead of the pack' at TOMRA's booth by getting early insight into container deposit schemes and seeing reverse vending in action, as well as learn how to create a great recycling experience their store.
