VanDrie Group is the first meat producer in the world to launch a 3D veal cuts book using 3D technology.
The book allows users to see different cuts of meat from different angles, and customer specifications can be easily clarified using the images.
Korstiaan Mulderij, managing director of Veal Promotion Foundation, commented, "With 3D technology, we want to help our customers gain a better understanding of everything we produce. It's great to be ahead of the curve. This is how we stay relevant to our customers and create maximum added value."
The book also helps avoid misunderstandings as many different names are used for the same cuts of meat.
For example, Newport Steak, Santa Maria Steak, or Triangle Tip refer to the same cut of beef - the tri-tip.
Mulderij feels that it is imperative to give customers the right support.
"The veal cuts book has been the answer to these problems for a while now. The book includes 3D projections of many different cuts of various meat parts with a name and code," he added.
"It is this code that helps prevent miscommunication during contact with our customers, and to deliver custom work to customers."
Mulderij added that the company aims to strengthen its market position and improve the reputation of its delicious veal products across the world.
