Spanish grocer Caprabo is expanding its Caprabo Rapid format, and it has announced it will open six new shops under this model in 2016.
As reported on granconsumo.tv, this style of shop has already five outlets in Spain, none of which have a larger selling space than 150 square metres.
All the currently functioning Rapid stores are located in Barcelona. Despite their size, these shops offer a wide array of products as they are designed to fit a higher density of items per square metre. The shops offer a unique convenience selling point by opening daily from 8:00 to 23:00.
Claudio Estévez, Franchise Director at Caprabo says that they're working with "diverse profiles" when it comes to franchisees, from wealthy investors who hire a management team to previously unemployed people that want to "opt for self-employment by opening one franchise."
For Estévez, "the franchises' growth is looking very positive", and added that during the last year, the franchises' sales grew by 7 per cent.
