Spar is extending its reach in Georgia, by entering into its first sub-licencing agreement, with an independent retailer operating under the Spar brand.
The new store is located in Zugdidi, western Georgia and is the first venture into the region of Samegrelo-Zelo Svaneti.
The 192m² store will house fruit and vegetable, meat, fish and dairy departments, with an extensive Food-To-Go offer, in keeping with the brand’s focus on convenience food.
The Mayor of Zugdidi officiated the opening ceremony, which was also attended by Georgia’s leading TV News Channels.
