Montenegrin supermarket chain Voli has reopened its discount hypermarket store Naš Diskont in Podgorica, which the company says features a new, modern format.
According to the retailer, the Naš Diskont ('Our Discount') store is now the biggest of its kind in Montenegro and the surrounding regions.
The refurbished store has a new interior design and features a number of technological innovations. It also has an expanded offering, with more than 25,000 SKUs over a significantly larger area, which now reaches 6,000 square metres.
Another novelty is the new restaurant area, which is nearly 1,000 square metres in size, and serves traditional local dishes, Mediterranean cuisine, and healthy and vegetarian food.
Expansion Plans
Voli, which has a 28% market share in Montenegro, plans to further expand the Naš Diskont store concept by another 6,000 square metres from March 2018.
Earlier this year, the retailer opened new logistics centre in Podgorica, following an investment of €11.8 million, with help from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
